NAD+ Therapy: What It Is and How We Offer It

By Brenda Halliday, NP, Founder, Journey Health Institute · · 4 min read

NAD+ is a helper molecule found in every cell in your body. It helps turn the food you eat into energy. It also helps your cells repair themselves. As you get older, your body makes less of it, which is part of why energy and recovery can feel harder than they used to.

You can raise NAD+ a little with pills like NR or NMN. But getting it straight into your body, through a shot or an IV, works faster and skips your stomach entirely. That's the route most of our clients choose, and it's what this guide focuses on.

    How We Offer NAD+

We offer three ways to get NAD+, so you can pick what fits your schedule.

IV: The Full Dose, All at Once

You sit back and relax while your full dose goes straight into your bloodstream. It's the most direct option, done in one visit.

    IM: A Quick Shot

A fast shot into the muscle. It's quicker than sitting for an IV, and still gets NAD+ into your system well.

    At-Home Pen: Do It Yourself

Take home a pre-filled pen and give yourself a small shot two to three times a week. It's easy, private, and one vial lasts 8 to 12 weeks.

Should You Start With a Loading Dose?

If it's your first time, or you've been feeling really run down, we may start you with a few IV sessions close together. This helps build your levels up faster. After that, most people switch to a simple maintenance plan. We'll figure out what makes sense together at your visit.

    What a Session Feels Like

We go slow so you stay comfortable. Going too fast can cause flushing (feeling warm) or an upset stomach, it's harmless, just not fun. Going slow, most people feel just fine. One note: unlike most of our other IVs, NAD+ uses a plain saline base instead of our usual ozone saline.

    Pricing

    • IV: $249 (250mg) or $300 (300mg) per session
    • IM Shot: $75 per 100mg
    • At-Home Pen: $300 per vial, an 8–12 week supply

IV and IM are walk-in, no appointment needed. Ask us about setting up an at-home pen at your next visit. See our full IV menu, or book your visit directly.

More energy, faster recovery, easier days, that's the goal. Pick whichever way fits your life best.
